Face pressed against the glass and half asleep, Sachiyo had been trapped inside the train for hours now. He wanted to stay awake for the whole journey so as to see all the familiar sites again, but after delay after delay it felt as if he would be stuck in the stuffy tin can forever. As a result, he had been asleep for most of it, as evident by the long piece of drool running down his mouth and onto the window.
"Last stop, Haname Station" an announcement called over the speakers in the cramped carriage.
Hearing this Sachiyo woke up straight away and banged his head on the ceiling. Rubbing his head, he couldn’t help but grin with excitement as he pressed his hands against the window and looked outside. Sure enough he could see his home city all around him and other familiar sites.
Sachiyo quickly made sure to put on his back pack and sling his two heavy bags over his shoulders, only remembering now to also wipe the drool from his face with the sleeve of his new leather jacket after a woman gave him an odd look.
As the train pulled into the station it was all Sachiyo could do but cover his eyes from the bright sun light. Adjusting his eyes, he soon made out the familiar station and smiled. Awkwardly steeping onto the platform due to the weight of his luggage, he looked around hoping to see a familiar face. No luck.
Damn! If only he hadn't dropped his phone from the Eiffel Tower during his trip abroad in Europe. Otherwise he could have let his friends know he was back a good week early. Still, he was finally back. Shuffling stiffly from side to side, Sachiyo made his way to a drinks machine, got himself an orange juice, and downed its contents before proceeding to a phone booth to call his dad.
"Hello? Ritsu residence?" the familiar voice of his farther said down the line.
"Hey dad! Guess whose back!?" Sachiyo replied happily before pulling the phone away as his ear almost exploded from the loud excited yell of his farther.
"Your back! That's great news son! Would you like me to pick you up?"
Remembering the death trap his farther called 'the family car' Sachiyo quickly shook his head.
"Err... I don't want to be any bother. More importantly! Can you look in my drawer and find the phone book I left behind? Just I need you to call Furukawa Akinobu and tell him... tell him the guy with the big dumb grin is back! Can you do that?"
Laughing, his farther agreed to do this and hung up. Sachiyo then stepped out of the phone booth and sat down on a nearby bench where the cold wind could cool him down.
"I'm finally back..." he whispered as he waited in eager anticipation for his friend to show up. Hoping he wouldn’t just murder his ass for not being in touch for a good 6 months’ now.

(...I'm ignoring the SHIT out of your typos.)
"...What? The... Dumb grin?" Akinobu tried processing who the hell he was talking about. Some dude calling himself "Ritsu" called and said a person was coming back. "...Do I know someone with... Oh! You mean the smiling bastard," Akinobu said. "...Yeah. I... Guess you could say that?" the man said. "...Well then. I'll just have to meet him..." Akinobu said and hung up, then looked at the end of his left arm. A person was hanging a few inches off the ground and tried breaking free from his grip. "Get lost," he said and dropped him. "...Guess I'll drop by Rise's place. Better grab Chips before going there..." he muttered and walked down the familiar streets.
About five minutes later, he ended up in front of a house with a large backyard. He rang the doorbell and Rise came to open the door. "Hello, Akinobu-san," she smiled as Chips came running and jumped towards him. "The smiling bastard's back. I'm bringing Chips with me." he said and began patting Chips' head. Chips kept wagging his tail and sniffed to see if Akinobu had any treats. "Sorry boy. No treats I'm afraid," he laughed as Rise put on his collar and handed Akinobu the leash. "Finally I'll be free from this giant..." she mumbled. Akinobu chuckled quietly and walked towards Haname Station.
After about twenty minutes of walking, he spotted a familiar girl. "You're Yoko, right?" he said and walked up to her. She looked a bit.. Different compared to how she looked when he initially had met her. For starters, she had a larger chest and she looked a lot less dirty. "Ah, Akinobu-san," she smiled. "The smiling bastard's back in town. I'm going to meet him. You taggin' along?" he smiled. "Hm... Yes. I think I will," she chuckled. "...Do you think he'll recognize me?" she asked. "Hm? Of course! It's Sachiyo! Not even THAT idiot is incapable of recognizing you... Right?" he smiled. She chuckled gently and nodded. "Come on Chips, let's meet your master," Akinobu smiled. Chips kept wagging his tail as they entered Haname station.
"...Great... A lot of people... Now then, where's that damn idiot...?" he muttered and looked as if he was struck by an idea. He turned to Yoko and said "Cover your ears," which had her confused but she nodded and did as asked. He took a deep breath and put his hands around his mouth as to imitate a megaphone. "The smiling bastard is to report to platform four! I repeat, the smiling bastard is to report to platform four!" he shouted, causing people to look confused at him, but ignored him. After a short bit, a familiar smiling face appeared. "Son of a bitch, there you are, you smiling bastard." Akinobu said and walked over to his best friend. "I have someone I'd like you to meet. It's called MY FIST." he said and landed a punch in Sachiyo's face, then walked over to him to help him up. "Payment for not calling me in the last six months or something, you lazy son of a bitch," he laughed. Chips, meanwhile, kept wagging his tail and jumped at Sachiyo in order to lick his face. Yoko kept looking blushing down into the floor and only looked up every once in a while and looked at Sachiyo. (...) "...? What's with this sudden ice cold murderous atmosphere...?" Akinobu thought and looked at Yoko. "...Oh," he thought as he noticed Yoko's aura basically screaming "MURDER".

(Dammit! Stupid spell checker changing father to farther... WTH!?)
"Dude, work on your puns... and it's nice to see you to." Sachiyo chuckled figuring this would be Aki's response. Wiping his bruised cheek, Sachiyo excepted aki's hand as he was lifted back on his feet. Chips who had grown considerably since he had last seen him then proceeded to jump up on him and lick his face.
"Hey, hey! Calm down boy! It's great to see you again! But man you’ve grown!" Sachiyo laughed as he wiped the dog’s spit off his face.
Whilst this was going on however, Yoko had been deciding how best to welcome Sachiyo back. They hadn't seen each other in a whole year and as a result felt they was something missing in her life. Whether it was his big dumb grin or his cheerful attitude, Yoko was glad to have him back. After thinking further on it, she decided to wait and see if Sachiyo recognised her. After all, apart from the leather jacket Sachiyo looked almost the same as before. Yoko on the other hand had got rid of the pink dye in her hair and returned it to her natural brown hair. She also now had to wear subscription glasses and to her own satisfaction had grown bigger as well, something she was always a bit self-conscious and embarrassed about before, but admittedly filled her with a new found self-confidence.
It was only after giving Chips a good few strokes that Sachiyo finally noticed Yoko in the distance. The two stared at each other for a good few seconds before he turned to face Aki.
"Hey Aki, who's your friend? Another girl you know hey? Where do you find them you old dog you?" he laughed loudly with his big dumb grin, completely unaware of her true identity as he patted Aki on the back.
(Unfortunately for Sachiyo, he would remember this next scene as one of his most painful and hard to forget.)
It was then that something behind Yoko's eyes snapped and an invisible spark had lit the fuse inside her. It was all Chips could do but cover his eyes with his paws as the enraged girl stormed towards Sachiyo and pulled up a sleeve.
“Hi my name is…” Sachiyo managed to say before receiving a god like slap to the face that somehow felt harder that Aki’s punch! Startled, Sachiyo fell on his ass and barely had time to say “Why is everyone hitting me today!?” when Yoko returned with a large garbage bin held over her head.
“Welcome back, jerk!” Yoko hissed like a venomous snake before dumping the contents all over the confused Sachiyo and then throwing the metal canister at his head that bounced off with a loud echo.
Yoko then turned and made to walk off, but before doing so turned around one last time to say in a controlled voice “Come see me when you’re a little less dense? Ok!?”.
With that Yoko turns and smiles, knowing Sachiyo is back and that he knows she means business before leaving.
Completely confused, Sachiyo groaned as he removed a banana peel from his head and stood back on his feet, wiping away the muck from his clothes and rubbing his throbbing forehead. He wanted to give that girl a piece of his mind, but alas she had already disappeared into the crowd.
“Who the heck was that!?” Sachiyo asked Aki in disbelief who merely gave him a cold stare. Chips on the other hand barked angrily and lightly bit his ankle.
“Ow! What was that for boy!? It’s not like I knew…”
Suddenly Sachiyo’s world began to crumble around him as he put the pieces together. Who else would come to see him return if they could? And who else would be angry if he failed to remember them?
Turning to Aki for his response, Sachiyo gave a large gulp before trying to form an impossible sentence.
“Was that… with new… and bigger…” he muttered in disbelief, sweating from the bad wrath he had brought upon himself.
“…I’m seriously dead now aren’t I?” Sachiyo asked in barely a whisper, his whole body trembling as his face turned white as a ghost.

"...Sachiyo, the number one insensitive jerk, has returned," Akinobu shook his head with a weak sigh. Chips kept barking at Sachiyo, as if scolding him and saying "idiot". "Oh well. Come on. Chi-chan and Mitsu-chan wanna meet you too, I bet." he smiled. "...It's good to have you back," he said and hugged his friend tightly. "...But yes. Your guess was correct; that was Yoko. Your girlfriend. Or girlfriend to be. I don't know. I've been hanging out with her for the past year after you randomly disappeared." he sounded scolding but also worried about his friend. (...) "Now come on. There's a place I want you to see," he smiled as they exited the station, Sachiyo now holding Chips' leash. "Nikawa is basically the same old but with a few new places. Including a new café," he chuckled. "Oh yeah, you might want this," he said and took out a few small black plastic bags and handed to Sachiyo in case Chips decided to do his... Stuff. "Nice jacket, by the way. Where'd you buy it?" he asked. (...) "Huh... I see. That reminds me..." he said and stopped. Chips instantly sat down next to him as two women came running towards them. "Geez! You're late!" Mitsune pouted and hugged Akinobu tightly. "Are you not... Akinobu-dono's best friend?" Chihiro asked and looked at him. She was - like always - dressed in a tuxedo while Mitsune was wearing a light dress. "Yep. This idiot didn't recognize Yoko, I might add," he chuckled and looked at Mitsune. Mitsune, in turn, walked up to Sachiyo and gave him a fiver across his face. "Idiot!" she said and hugged Akinobu instead. "Oh yeah, Yoko and Mitsune are best friends. Insulting her is like insulting Mitsune, apparently." Akinobu laughed as Chihiro kept looking at Sachiyo. "By the way, what's your name again?" she said with a bored expression as she looked at Sachiyo.

"...But yes. Your guess was correct; that was Yoko. Your girlfriend. Or girlfriend to be. I don't know. I've been hanging out with her for the past year after you randomly disappeared." Aki said. Sachiyo hearing this had to stop, almost losing his balance under the weight of all his heavy luggage, his face gone from white to bright red. “Girlfriend!? What gave you that idea? I mean, sure she’s great, really! Plus I would be lying if I didn’t think she look fantastic lately! But nah man, were just childhood friends, you know that. Besides, I doubt she even thinks of me that way… who would go out with chuckles right?” Sachiyo finished cheerfully trying to throw the comment away. Yet, he also felt somewhat saddened saying that aloud, why? Did he think he wasn't good enough? Or that no one could love a guy like him?
Realising that he hadn't spoken in some time, Sachiyo quickly cleared his throat and made to change the conversation. “A-anyway! Look dude, I’m sorry about leaving out of the blue. With all the shit going on last year my mum was worried that if I didn’t go abroad and study my grades would get worse! And I don’t know if you know or not, but my mum isn’t about to let me screw up my future, whether I like it or not. She didn’t exactly have the best grades when she left college so I can see her concern. Though, putting me on that surprise plane without even being able to say good bye kind of sucked…” Annoyed, Sachiyo looks down at the ground rather embarrassed. “Also, dropping my phone from the Eiffel hotel wasn’t the smartest thing in the world I will admit… nor was not keeping spare numbers just in case...” … "Nice jacket, by the way. Where'd you buy it?" Aki asked to which Sachiyo merely smiled and raised his arms out to show it off. “Oh this? I got this the first week I was in London! I had to haggle the price down; the guy thought I was some dumb tourist! But I got it down to just twenty pounds. Think he must have been trying to get rid of it quick; still, it’s 100% leather so it’s genuine alright! And man it was worth it! Kept me warm during the bad weather they always seem to have.” Sachiyo then starts pointing to the roughly sewed on patches all over it. “And look! I even sewed on patches from all the places I’ve been! See, here’s London, Paris, Germany... you name it!” Smiling, Sachiyo raises his arms high into the high and cries out “C'était genial!”, causing a few confused heads to turn to look at him. “Ah, sorry, got a bit too excited. I said ‘It was awesome' in French. Though don’t expect me to translate anything for you anytime soon ok? I mostly got away with their definitions for ‘hotel’ and ‘bathroom’. And even then I would get those mixed up sometimes!” Sachiyo laughed as he tried to keep up with Aki due to all the weight he was carrying. … Chatting for a bit longer Sachiyo finally saw in the distance two girls that instantly ran over to greet Aki. Sachiyo was about to say hi when one of them slapped him hard across the face! Luckily, Sachiyo didn’t fall down this time, only blinked wildly. “Ahhh! Is it beat up Sachiyo day all of a sudden!? What gives!?” Sachiyo yelled somewhat startled and high. He was expecting this crap from Aki after all, but not every girl he ran into! … "By the way, what's your name again?" a voice said to Sachiyo’s side belonging to the girl in a tuxedo, a bored expression on her face as she looked at him. Still, Sachiyo didn’t want to be slapped by this one and therefore decided not to make a big scene. “It’s Sachiyo Ritsu, nice to meet you.” Sachiyo said pleasantly, awkwardly extending a friendly hand as the weight of the shoulder bag kept lowering it to the ground. … “And yea I guess you could call me Aki’s best friend. Someone has to suffer the role right?” Sachiyo said with a wink before laughing and giving Aki a slap on the back. Sachiyo then turned his attention back to the girl in the tux and looked at her clothes. “Nice tux by the way! Where did you get it from? Just it looks pretty damn awesome!” … Sachiyo then turned to the girl identified at Mitsune, one hand proceeding back to the sore spot on his face, the other ready to defend if necessary. “Mitsune right? Nice to see Yoko making some more new friends. She won’t admit it, but she usually finds it hard to. Also… Damn! Where did you learn to hit like that!?” Smiling, Sachiyo turns to look at Aki. “Did you happen to teach Mitsune and Yoko something when I was away dude?” … Sachiyo couldn’t help but smile, seeing Aki again and his friends where helping to make Sachiyo feel at home again. He was about to start another conversation when his tummy started to rumble loudly. Embarrassed somewhat, Sachiyo closed his eyes and sighed. “Ah, sorry about that, in all my excitement I kind of skipped breakfast… and lunch… come to think about it, I don’t think I ate dinner last night either...” Sachiyo’s tummy rumbled again, only louder this time. “Hey, mind if we grab something to eat? I’ve already been beating up today; I don’t want to die of starvation either…” Sachiyo finishes saying by rubbing his stomach. Hearing this causes Chips’s ears to spring up, barking happily as if to agree on the idea.

"You went to the Eiffel Tower?... I'm... Supposed to be impressed, I think?... I dunno," Akinobu shook his head with a light sigh. "...You really are an idiot, man..." Akinobu chuckled lightly. --- "Cétait genial!" Sachiyo said, which had Akinobu raise his eyebrow. "...I... What?" Akinobu began but Sachiyo quickly translated it for him, causing him to raise his eyebrow. "...I'm going to pretend I care," he shook his head. --- "You're a wimp. It's just the third punch you've taken today, including mine, and you STILL stumble from it. Man up, dude," Akinobu laughed. Whether Sachiyo listened or not, he didn't know. He had turned to Chihiro instead to answer her earlier question. "It's Sachiyo Ritsu, nice to meet you," he said and extended his hand. Chihiro looked at the hand, then at Sachiyo, then back at the hand. "No! Bad Chi-chan! He's NOT out to hurt me! He just wanna shake hands!" Akinobu said before Chihiro had a chance to say anything. Instead, she looked at the hand again, then grabbed it with enough force to (probably) break a few bones. "Wimp," she said bored. "...And you call yourself Akinobu-dono's best friend? Pitiful." she shook her head. "Hey now, Chi-chan. You know just as well as I do why we're friends," he laughed. Whether Sachiyo had a suicide wish or was just plain out curious, one couldn't tell, as expected from his next question. "Nice tux by the way! Where did you get it from? Just, it looks pretty damn awesome!" he said with his usual giant grin. "..." "..." "..." There was a quiet, murderous atmosphere hanging around them. It was obvious that the question was... Bad. To say the least. "...That is..." she began but Akinobu held out a hand in front of her. "She got it though my family. That's all," he replied in a "don't you dare ask" manner. Sachiyo seemed to take the hint as he turned to Mitsune and thanked her for befriending Yoko. "...You're welcome? I guess?..." Mitsune tilted her head lightly. "Did you happen to teach Mitsune and Yoko something when I was away dude?" Sachiyo asked, obviously curious about Akinobu's families martial arts. Chihiro seemed to take this as a threat as she held her katana close to Sachiyo's neck within a split second, but Akinobu grabbed her shoulder and shook his head. "I haven't taught them anything. However... Mitsune and Chi-chan are both orphans that grew up with me," he smiled weakly as if recalling a far-off memory. (...) As Sachiyo's stomach began rumbling, Akinobu shook his head and held out his hand. "Hand over your damn luggage, you weak son of a bitch," he laughed and threw it over his own shoulder instead. "Come on. My place is the closest. We have some leftover food from yesterday. You guys wanna eat that?" he said and looked at Mitsune and Chihiro. Both seemed to beam with joy. "Fair tip man; don't get between those two and curry... Unless you wanna die. If SO, go for it," Akinobu laughed. (...) Once back at the Furukawa house (Akinobu entered in advance and the sound of... A LOT of things breaking followed him), he waved the others inside. "Have a seat. I got some dog food for Chips," Akinobu said calmly and took out two bowls and poured up water and food in them for Chips, before warming some left over curry from the night before on two plates and handed to the two girls. "I was planning on going shopping but with you coming home too early... Eh, whatever. All we got home is... Meat and rice. Hope it'll be fine, just like that time," Akinobu smiled at his best friend, remembering how they had eaten that the first time they went to Dark Nikawa. Mitsune and Chihiro seemed to pay them no mind - they rather looked like they were in heaven from eating the curry. (...) Once the food was done (and this time, NOT served on bricks!), Akinobu sat down opposite of Sachiyo. "Mitsune, Chi-chan, can you two leave us?" he said as the two girls had finished eating. They both nodded happily and went upstairs instead. Once he confirmed that they were playing something, Akinobu took out something from his pocket; a small book. "During your year away, I've been studying about Dark Nikawa. Or, as I call it, the best damn fight a man can have," he chuckled. "...This book belonged to my ancestors. It contains very little information about Shadows but it does contain something very... Interesting." he said and opened the middle of the book. "According to this, our ancestors believed in reincarnation. Well, his wife did. As for him... He could care less. That's not the important part. Anyway..." Akinobu said and flipped the page. "Furukawa Yamato - the first Furukawa Master - had a friend called Daichi. While confirmed that the Yamato and Kagome - his wife - is reincarnated in each generation, some of us believe that Daichi also reincarnates, though always looks different. I can't confirm nor deny this possibility but... In each generation, the Yamato is reborn and always ends up marrying the reborn Kagome. And... If this book is right... Daichi is also reincarnated and ends up being Yamato's best friend. Every single time, I might add," Akinobu said and looked straight at Sachiyo. Chips had - since a few minutes - put his head in Akinobu's lap. "The current Yamato is me." Akinobu said and looked his best friend straight in the eyes. "My real name is Furukawa Yamato Akinobu, with Yamato being my real spoken name."

"During your year away, I've been studying about Dark Nikawa. Or, as I call it, the best damn fight a man can have," Aki chuckled as Sachiyo turned to make sure they were alone. No one, not even his parents or Yoko knew about Dark Nikawa and the power he had discovered last year. Still, he was curious to hear what Aki had to say and therefore stayed quiet, taking in every word. … As Aki had been talking Sachiyo’s mouth had been slowly opening wider and wider, unable to take in what he was saying. Yet, no way was he lying! He would never do that with something this important! It was only when Sachiyo’s jaw locked in place from opening so wide that he realised the face he was making and tried to fix it. “Ah, ah ha!” he mumbled as he forced it back into place before carrying on with a numb mouth. “S-so let m-me get this s-straight. You’re Y-yamato? And I’m D-daichi?” Sachiyo waited for Aki to respond before continuing. “Whoa, this is heavy… so like, were meant to, or rather, each generation is meant to be reincarnated into becoming friends for life?” Sachiyo had to process this thought “Wow, have to admit I wasn’t expecting to hear that… but at the same time, I’m glad.” He said with a smile. “So I guess behind that tough guy exterior, there is someone who cares for me after all!” Sachiyo laughed happily only to quickly stop, just encase he unleashed Aki’s wrath. Sachiyo then tilted back on his chair, patting his full stomach before looking at the ceiling. “When I was in Europe, I tried to go there…” Realising that he wasn’t making any sense he cleared his throat “To Dark Nikawa… or rather, Dark London or Paris, or wherever I was! And you know what happened…?” Sachiyo waited for a response of some sort “Nothing! Absolutely nothing!” Sachiyo said waving his hands in the air. “Which leads me to think two things. One, I’m glad this isn’t affecting the rest of the world, that means we won’t have to go outside of our Nikawa any time soon, or at least I hope so…” sighing sadly, Sachiyo then continued “And two… that means are job is going to get a LOT more harder. You could even say were now guardians to this country!” Processing this thought Sachiyo raised his feet and allowed the chair to fall back on the floor, as he did he used it’s inertia to slam him fists into the table and lean forward, determination in his eyes. “Dude! We’re going to have to get stronger! If we don’t stop this then everything we know is fucked! Err, screwed rather…“ Sachiyo coughed, embarrassed by his outburst before leaning back to rub his hands. “So, when are we next going back there? I’m a year behind on my training after all…” Sachiyo said smiling as if he was a kid with a secret he couldn’t tell anyone (so basically himself). Then a thought crossed his mind. “Wait… you said marriage?” Sachiyo said surprised before leaning in and whispering with a sly smile, excitement now in his voice “So who the heck is Kagome hey? Mitsune or Chihiro?” he asked curiously, waiting for Aki's response as he tried to peer into the book's pages.

(OoC: Reason I called Sachiyo "Daichi" at one point? Simple. I was tired and hungry, thus I didn't notice it.)
"...Who knows? I don't even look like the real Yamato," Akinobu shut his eyes. "The real Yamato is always silver haired with blue-gray eyes. When I was a child, I looked like that. However, when I turned five... I look like what you see now," he continued. "...Though I managed to turn back to my real self... I don't know why I reverted back to my Akinobu self," he said and gritted his teeth annoyed. "...A Yamato has three criteria to be fulfilled," he said and opened another page of the book. "First, he's always born with silver hair and blue-gray eyes. Though born with that, as you can see... I'm not looking like that. Second, marry Kagome. She has long black hair and gray eyes. Neither Chi-chan nor Mitsune fits in on this criteria," he rubbed his temples annoyed. "...Third and final, find the new Daichi and the new Nagisa - Daichi's wife - and protect them with my life," he muttered. "I have reason to believe that the books speak the truth. After all, the two of us are polar opposites. You're a damn son of a bitch who doesn't stop smiling unless half-dead and I don't stop fighting unless I'm COMPLETELY dead," he laughed. (...) "...Though what bugs me is this..." he said and opened another page of the book. "According to this... Daichi always looks different. Same goes for Nagisa. For all what I know, Nagisa is Yoko. Would make sense," he said and poured up some tea for the two of them. "The first Daichi had short brown hair and brown eyes. The second one had blond hair and green eyes. Third one was dark skinned. Fourth one..." he stopped in the middle of the sentence. "...The fourth one... Was the dark sheep of the Furukawa's" he shut his eyes and looked irritated. "According to our old texts, the fourth Daichi tried murdering the fourth Yamato. For what reason, I can't say. Personally, I believe the texts to be inaccurate but I wouldn't know. I can't really contact my previous lives either," he shook his head bitterly. (...) "...Now come on. You still use a bow, right?" Akinobu said and grabbed his cup and emptied the scalding hot tea in mere seconds. "Let's get to training," he smiled and went out back to the Dojo. "Training is simple; we have some moving targets. We'll practice hitting those using our bows. Once we're confident in it, I'm increasing their speed and making them able to attack us as well. ...What's with the look of "you have to be kidding me" on your face?" Akinobu asked and raised his eyebrow as Sachiyo looked dumbfounded on his explanation. "Regarding what you said about not being able to go to Dark Paris and stuff... I have a feeling Japan is just the first area to be attacked by Shadows. My ancestors have written little information about Dark Nikawa but... Huh?" Akinobu turned around as an arrow came flying towards him. "Oh yeah, I should mention, there's traps all around. Be careful, you he--- Sachiyo?" he looked around with a surprised look on his face and noticed the most basic trap they had being activated; a trap door. "Really?!" Akinobu shook his head and walked over it. The fall was short; only about half a meter. He held down his hand and pulled Sachiyo back up as Chips seemingly danced around the traps. "By the way, your dog is better at dodging traps than you are. You suck," he laughed.

"I have reason to believe that the books speak the truth. After all, the two of us are polar opposites. You're a damn son of a bitch who doesn't stop smiling unless half-dead and I don't stop fighting unless I'm COMPLETELY dead," Aki laughed. “Yea like that’s ever going to happen! You’re the toughest guy I know dude! No one’s taking you done! And I don’t smile that often…” Sachiyo finished with a straight face, only to crack into a smile when Aki clearly wasn’t buying it. (...) "According to our old texts, the fourth Daichi tried murdering the fourth Yamato. For what reason, I can't say. Personally, I believe the texts to be inaccurate but I wouldn't know. I can't really contact my previous lives either," Aki shook his head bitterly to which Sachiyo tried to reassure him. “Well I can assure you buddy, you may be an ass hole sometimes, but I’m not going to try and kill you anytime soon… what would I do hey? Annoy you to death? Just you seem pretty immune to that already.” Laughing Sachiyo then suddenly became quiet and thought back to what Aki had said earlier about Nagisa. “Is Yoko really…” Sachiyo started, but when he noticed Aki raise an eye brow he instantly stopped to rephrase. “I mean… Nagisa could be anyone right! Who’s to say who she is!” Sachiyo then looked up at the ceiling and tapped a finger on his chin. “But marriage hey? Damn! Never thought I would be the one to do that! I haven’t even…” Sachiyo managed to stop in time, no way was he letting Aki know he had never kissed a girl before. If Aki ever found out he would never let it go! “…Met anyone I like...” Sachiyo tried to cover with a straight face, hopefully Aki would buy that. (...) "By the way, your dog is better at dodging traps than you are. You suck," Aki laughed as Sachiyo annoyingly rubbed dust of his knees and then stretched. “Ha ha, very funny!” he said sarcastically. “Come on! Let me kick your ass at archery ok? I may have been gone a year, but Japan isn’t the only place with an archery range you know...” Sachiyo then approached a bow stand and curiously grabbed one. Luckily not losing a hand or anything, he then grabbed a quiver or arrows, put them on his back and readied his aim, not daring to move anywhere else in the dojo. Sachiyo couldn’t help but feel confident with a bow in his hands, after all, he was an ace with one. Yet despite this, he quickly lost his determined face when he remembered one little thing. “Err… can we start off with the non-deadly targets first? Please?” Sachiyo asked being freighted of that aspect to which Aki gave a nod and activated the targets. Sure enough as he did numerous stationary targets sprung to life. “Let’s do this!” Sachiyo yelled as he pulled back on his bow and fired his first shot, piercing right through it! Smiling, Sachiyo then fired his second and third shot in rapid succession, hitting the other two targets. “Ha! See that! Pretty good right?” Sachiyo smirked before readying his next arrow. This time the targets began to move up, down, left and right. Sachiyo didn’t dare move from his spot in case he set off yet another trap, but because of this he wasn’t centre in the dojo and therefore at a disadvantage. Still, he took aim and although fired slower this time still hit his mark every time, despite only just hitting the last one. “Alright! This wasn’t as tough as I thought it would be!” Sachiyo grinned confidently. Then an idea crossed his mind. “Hey Aki! How about we make this interesting hey? I bet 10,000 yen that I can hit more targets than you in a minute! What do you say tough guy? Or are you too scared to lose?” Sachiyo laughed as he restocked on arrows and readied the bow.

(OoC: Olive means that it's Chihiro and Mitsune talking at the same time. Akinobu is singing the same song as them, though in English.)
"Oh, you haven't? Thought you had the hots for Yoko," Akinobu said, honestly surprised. "...Well, to be honest, I don't know who Nagisa is either. My money is on Yoko but I'd be damned if I know," he shook his head and chuckled lightly. (...) While Sachiyo stood completely still and aimed at the targets, Akinobu kept running around and firing arrows in rapid succession and seemed to roll around in mid air, as if dodging invisible projectiles. "Fifty-eight... Fifty-nine... Sixty... Sixty-one... Sixty-two..." he mumbled with each shot fired that struck a target. "Hey Aki! How about we make this interesting hey?" Sachiyo said and smiled at him. Akinobu raised his eyebrow. "I bet 10,000 yen that I can hit more targets than you in a minute! What do you say, tough guy? Or are you too scared you'll lose?" Sachiyo said with a cocky grin. Akinobu smirked at the challenge. "Fine, but I have three conditions of my own," he said. "One, ninety seconds. In other words, a minute and a half. We'll time it by using two impartial witnesses; Chi-chan and Mitsune will do. They always act neutral if I'm in a competition, even if they might cheer for me, they don't give me any... Benefits," he laughed. "Two, I'm wearing a blindfold in order to up the difficulty a bit. Also, we're using the targets that can dash towards us, but not attack us," he said and looked at Chips dodging even more traps. "...Third and final, no standing still. You have to keep moving and firing. I'm wearing a blindfold as I know the Dojo like the back of my hand," he laughed. (...) "Well then. Challenge start," Akinobu said and pulled down his headband. Chihiro and Mitsune looked at each other and began singing with one mouth. Kioku ga hiraku oto kikitaikara, kimi ni sashidasou" they began singing as Akinobu began singing in English. "I want to hear your memories unfold, so this is for you," he smiled and fired three arrows in rapid succession into targets behind him. "Aa, konna nimo taisetsu na omoi mo, toki no suna ga ooikakushite aimai ni shiteshimau." the girls sang while looking like they danced around on the floor. "No matter how precious this feeling may be, the sands of time are going to cover it up and make it ambiguous." he sang and looked like he rolled around in mid air again and hit a target right behind Sachiyo with a calm smile on his face. "Keredo unmei nante kotoba wa cheap da nante!" they sang with a bit more... Force. "However, don't say that "fate" is a cheap word." Akinobu continued while firing an arrow into a target right above him! "Issho ni waraiatteru kimi ga sono hito dattari surunokana! " the two girls smiled. "Because you're always laughing by my side, you could be the one," Akinobu sang and almost stumbled over Chips who quickly moved out of the way. "Kitto, minna daiji na koto, sukoshizutsu wasureteikukara. Kimi to no omoide wa wazuka dake demo takusaseteyo?" they smiled. "See, everyone slowly forgets something, no matter how important. So is it alright if I entrust you for a bit with my memories of you?" Akinobu sang as Sachiyo (barely!) missed him with an arrow. "Sorouhazunai puzzle kakushieta saigo no kakera," they continued and managed to (narrowly) avoid activating a trap. "I have the last missing piece of this incomplete puzzle..." Akinobu sang and leaped into the air again and fired five arrows in rapid succession. "Kioku ga hiarku oto kikitaikara, kimi ni sashidasou," the girls finished the song. "I want to see your memories unfold, so this is for you," Akinobu ended the song by firing an arrow to an opponent right next to Sachiyo. (...) "Alright, since there's no way in Hell for us to keep track of who shot what arrow, each arrow got a small tape piece. Either red or blue. I got the red ones, while you have the blue arrows. Let's see who got the most points!" Akinobu smiled and removed his blindfold. Chips happily sat and got pet by Mitsune while Chihiro helped Akinobu and Sachiyo retrieve the arrows. "...Oh and by the way? Don't stand there, Sa---" Akinobu began but Sachiyo fell down YET ANOTHER trap door! "Saving your ass costs you two points!" Akinobu joked and pulled him back up again. "Seriously... You manage to dodge ALL traps until now but fall into one of the easiest ones to spot?! You suck!" he sighed.
(OoC: the song is called CLICK by ClariS (TV-size). It's the opening to the animé Nisekoi (roughly "Promised Love")).

(OoC: Sorry for not posting in a while, been super tired recently from work and therefore didn’t want to half ass my next post)
Once Sachiyo was pulled out of yet ANOTHER trap door and placed back on his feet he had to take a minute to catch his breath. Knees bent and breathing heavily, his whole body felt exhausted. “G-give me a b-break Aki, I’ve been traveling all d-day and jet lack is… is catching up on me n-now…” Sachiyo huffed annoyed, barely able to keep his eyes open. “B-besides, let’s see who sucks after we check out the score, o-ok?” Sachiyo continued as he looked around the dojo. The whole room looked like a hedgehog if it were turned inside out! Arrows stuck into every target littered all over. At first Sachiyo thought he had won when he looked at the left wall and noticed it mostly covered in his arrows. However, looking to the right it seemed Aki had dominated it. “Not bad considering you where blind folded…” Sachiyo muted before turning to the front. All the targets on this wall had been sprayed in arrows from both of them. At first Sachiyo would count his arrows to have hit more, then he would count Aki’s to victorious. It seemed as if the two of them where neck to neck now when Sachiyo looked at the last target. “You… you have got to be kidding me!” Sachiyo laughed in disbelief, slapping his head. Both of their arrows had pierced the target’s bulls eye from different angles, with no noticeable signs of who had shot it first, thus making both even! “I thought that only happened in the movies! Geez, guess no one won after all…” Sachiyo sighed as one eye completely closed on itself. Unable to open it again, Sachiyo yawned as he tried to keep himself upright using the bow. “Sorry dude, would it be ok if you called me a taxi? I think I need to get home and s-sleep… sleep…” Sachiyo stammered as he lost his balance, just managing to not fall into the trap again and not break the bow from his weight. Hearing the word ‘home’, Chips barked before rubbing himself against Sachiyo, clearly showing he had missed him after all. Smiling, Sachiyo looked straight at Aki with a confident grin. “We are SO having a rematch at some point dude! And when we do, you better not be wearing a blindfold! I’m going to be 100% a-awake next time so you’ll need all the help you can get!”

"There's no way I'm letting you home like this, even with a taxi..." Akinobu shook his head and chuckled lightly. "Come on, dude, let's get you to a bed," he smiled and put Sachiyo's arm around his neck. "Chi-chan, Mitsu-chan, you two mind locking up the Dojo? As for you Chips," he turned to the dog, who tilted his head lightly. "What do you say about sleeping here tonight?" he said to the dog, who barked happily as a reply. "Four against one, you don't have a saying," he laughed and helped Sachiyo back into the house. "What should we do about the arrows?" Mitsune asked gently. "Leave them be, I'll deal with them some other time," he shrugged. The two girls nodded, turned off the lights, put away the bows and then locked the door behind them. Chips kept wagging his tail and barked happily. "Akinobu-dono," Chihiro said and looked at him. "What's up?" he asked. "Shall I prepare the guest room? Or a futon?" she asked. "Mm... I'll sleep with Mitsune in our room. Sachiyo can sleep in Akane-nee's old room. So yeah, prepare the bed for him. I'm dumping his ass in bed," he laughed. Chihiro nodded and walked inside as he turned to Mitsune. "Nice choice of song," he laughed. She smiled happily as a reply.
"...Shit, what time is it...?" Akinobu sat up with Mitsune sleeping soundly next to him. He turned and looked at his alarm; it showed 3:42 AM. "Son of a bitch... Sachiyo's been sleeping for eight hours already..." Akinobu muttered, who had only gone to bed four hours ago himself. He got out of bed and headed to the kitchen and poured up a glass of water. "...Why did the fourth Daichi try killing the fourth Yamato? And why did I revert back to my old self after that... Clash?" Akinobu thought as something approached behind him. He turned around with a calm smile as a girl looked at him. "Aki-nii, is something wrong?" the girl asked. "...Nah, it's fine. I'm just restless as the smiling bastard's back in town," he laughed and put away his glass. "Is that the person sleeping in the guest room?" she asked and tilted her head. "Yeah, that's right. His name's Ritsu Sachiyo. Most lovable son of a bitch I know," he laughed. "I see... I'm tired..." she yawned and floated towards the roof. "Sleep tight," he smiled. She nodded and floated towards Chihiro's room.
Akinobu looked at the Dojo through a large window. "Might as well clean up some of the arrows," he muttered and walked over to it. He entered and disabled the traps - something he had forgotten to do for the archery fight that evening - and spotted a small item stashed away along the left side of the wall. It was a miracle that none of the arrows had hit it. "What's that?" he mumbled and walked over to it. He picked it up and noticed it being a small book, covered with thick ropes. He grabbed one of the arrows and cut off the ropes - they looked hundreds of years old - and carefully opened the first page. "...This is..." he mumbled to himself. He ended up spending the rest of the night in the Dojo, reading that old book, over and over again. (...) "...I see... So, that's what happened..." he mumbled and walked over to a large sword on the wall. It was easily 3 feet (1 meter) long and about 2 feet (60 cm) broad. "So, that's what special with this sword... No wonder none of us have been able to swing it in the past without feeling exhaustion from just a few swings..." Akinobu muttered. His stomach let out a loud growl and he realized it was already ten AM. "Shit, I better eat something," he mumbled and walked back inside. Sachiyo and the girls sat and ate breakfast and waved towards Akinobu as he came inside. "Well, whatever... It's fine, isn't it? I'll deal with this... Some other time," he smiled and grabbed some toast and began eating.

Having had a good night’s rest, Sachiyo was full of energy again and dying for something to eat. With the remains of a loath of bread next to him, he was already on his tenth portion of toast when Aki finally showed up for breakfast. “H-hey A-Aki! S-sit over here!” he chocked as he attempted to swallow the whole buttered slice in his mouth, gesturing for Aki to sit in the empty chair next to him. When Aki sat down Sachiyo gave him a big smile. “Hey man! Thanks for letting me stay last night! I feel like my normal self again!” he grinned before flexing what little muscle he had on his arms and taking a big gulp of juice. Then he remembered something. “Oh hey! You may want to fix your heating. It kept making ‘oooohhhhing’ noises as if it were a ghost or something! But that’s ridiculous right?!” he laughed as he took another bite of toast, not noticing Aki’s expression. “So, what is it you two girls do?” He asked as he grabbed the pot of jam and butter. (…) As the girls spoke Sachiyo proceeded to juggle the pot of jam, plate of butter and slice of toast. Listening intently to them as he did, before putting the food back on the table and with just a few strokes of the nearby knife butter, jam and eat the new slice. Sachiyo then noticed Aki and his tired eyes. “Yo dude, earth to Aki!” Sachiyo called as he waved his hand in front of Aki’s eyes. “You ok? Stay up all night or something?” he asked concerned. (…) After hearing Aki’s response Sachiyo merely nodded. “I see…” Sachiyo said quietly as his hand slowly raised his new slice of toast into his mouth. Once it touched his tongue he smacked his lips happily. “Hmm, Damn this toast is good! I know that seems weird to say, but sometimes you miss the simple things when your away. Especially when no one aboard can toast a simple piece of bread without burning it!” he mumbled through his stuffed mouth before looking at the watch on his wrist. Eyes widening, Sachiyo jumped up on his feet “And damn! Look at the time! I haven’t even seen my folks since I got back! Chips! Chips!?” Sachiyo called as he grabbed his shoulder bags from the bottom of the stair case. Chips by now had finished his meal and proceeded to carry Sachiyo’s back pack in his mouth. “Good boy! Come on! It’s time to finish up and see my folks!” Sachiyo called cheerfully as he opened the front door, Chips barked happily in response and rushed out outside. “Thanks again Aki! You’re a life saver!” Sachiyo called into the Kitchen before taking one step outside and remembering something else. “By the way! I’ll be joining your class at uni soon! So expect to see me there soon, ok!?” Sachiyo grinned his usually signature smile, sticking out his thumb as he adjusted his shoulder bags. “Now Chips, we should…” Sachiyo said before realising Chips was nowhere to be seen! Turning around he could just make out the golden retriever already half way down the block with the back pack still in his mouth! “Hey wait Chips! Wait!!!” Sachiyo called out in a panic as he hurriedly chased after his pet, arms and legs widely going back and forth as he made his dash. “See you at uni Aki!!!” he cried out over the traffic as he made his chase, leaving Aki’s house behind.

"...As if it was a ghost... Right..." Akinobu shook his head lightly as Ami appeared and tilted her head gently. "Did I do something wrong?" she asked gently, but Akinobu shook his head. "No, it's fine," he smiled. "So, what is it you two girls do?" Sachiyo asked. "I study third year at Tsubasa High. I'm in reality the same age as you two - actually a couple of months older than you both - but I took a year off from studying so I have to repeat a grade," Mitsune said calmly. "I'm Akinobu-dono's bodyguard when I'm not studying," Chihiro shrugged. Akinobu felt half-dead when listening to the three of them talking and instead poured up a large cup of coffee and drank. "...Actually tastes like coffee this time... Weird," he mumbled. "You okay? Stay up all night or something?" Sachiyo asked concerned. "Yes. I did. Been awake for the last seven hours, in fact," he mumbled. "...I'll probably take a nap for about two or three hours..." he muttered as he drank some more coffee. "How is it that people keep saying that coffee makes them... Feel awake? It doesn't work for me - ever," he shook his head. Before Akinobu had a chance to react, Sachiyo jumped out of his seat and hurried out - something about going to meet his parents. Akinobu smirked lightly and thought back to the day before - was he not going to meet Yoko, too? ...Knowing her, she'll murder his ass if he doesn't show up soon. Oh well. Not his problem. "...At uni, huh..." Akinobu muttered as Sachiyo hurried out, following Chips. He took out the old book he found again and looked at it. "What's that book, Aksan?" Mitsune asked. "...A book related to my family," he replied and put it away in his pocket again. "...I'm gonna take a nap. Wake me in two or three hours," he yawned and headed upstairs. Meanwhile, Ami, Mitsuru and Ryosuke all floated around, minding their own business while watching the three of them. "Looks like it'll be another interesting year with the Furukawa's," Mitsuru chuckled. The two other ghosts nodded in agreement.
